Avoiding Symmastia in Breast Augmentation

Breast augmentation today has vastly been becoming a trend. It has been asked to be performed by women who were a bit disadvantaged when it comes to breast sizes. But then sometimes breast operation may not only focus on additional size, but reduction also.

If not abused, breasts augmentation has helped a lot in women empowerment. But then some may find the average size lacking, this often results to complications. Most complications can be remedied but there are some that may be led to their doom because of greed.

Known Breast Complications from Augmentation
There are known breast complications that may arise from either your own choice or sometimes from your own choice of doctors too.
  1. Double bubble - This complication creates a double breasts crease due to the heavy breast weight and the sagging of the skin.
  2. Capsular contracture - This happens when the implant is squeezed by the shrinking breast tissues.
  3. Bottom out - This on the other hand happens when the implants are over weighted and can’t be supported by the breast tissues.Breasts drop also from the bad positioning during the operation.
  4. Symmastia - This one too is fairly common, when the two implants from the left and the right breasts gets together and form one boob.

Symmastia and How to Avoid it
Among the four mentioned, Symmastia is something that most are alarmed and afraid of. When breasts implants touch each other, form a uni-boob, then you may have one great complication form your operation.

Symmastia is characterized by the meeting of the implants just above the collarbone getting that one boob look. But how can this be prevented?
  • Check for your doctors’ credibility. Often credible doctors are the right doctors. They are licensed, trained and well experienced. Their expertise may also be a positive point for it.
  • Know the procedure yourself. Never go uninformed.
  • Always be alert of what’s happening in your body. Know when changes come.
  • Perform the right post operative care.
But then sometimes, even good doctors may experience such phenomenon. The only way is to go for the revision surgery. This will help correct it. Now, what happens to the surgery?
  • Incisions will be done. This incision will expose the underlying tissue, muscle and the implant itself. The inspection of it all will now start.
  • When the tissue that is covering the implant has been determined, it will be cut and will be rolled back. This will enable it to fit into the pocket.
  • The tissue after will be sutured carefully. This will ensure that the implant will be in place no matter what. Muscles then will be sutured; everything will be put back in place.
  • Everything will be closed. The incisions will be sutured and you’re off for healing.
Symmastia is experienced by few in breast augmentation. Most of the time it may cause trauma. But then a little counseling might help. And be positive, it can be fixed. After some time, you will be good as new.

Breast Enhancement: Improve Your Life

Breast enhancement procedures help boost self-confidence and improve your appearance. It is important to be realistic when considering breast enhancements; you need to carefully consider your expectations and discuss them with your doctor. When you get breast enhancements, your doctor will guide you through the best enhancement methods that give you the results you want.

What are the benefits of Breast Enhancements?

You Look Better

A breast enhancement procedure enhances your figure and shapes your bust. When you get a procedure done, you balance your figure and you look curvier. If your body is lacking definition, a breast enhancement procedure can add curves and increase attractiveness.

If you have been pregnant in the past, you may notice that your breasts aren't the same. Breast enhancements are a perfect way to reshape your breasts so they look like they did before your pregnancy. As women get older, their breasts tend to sag. Breast enhancements can give your breasts a youthful appearance.

Breast enhancements help women who have suffered through a mastectomy. They are used to reshape your bust and restore it to the same size and shape it was before your procedure.

More Confidence

When your breasts don't look as good as you would like, it is very common to feel inadequate and depressed. This can lead to constant negative feelings that ruin your self-confidence. When you get breast enhancements, these feelings tend to go away. Imagine how much more confident you would be with a contoured body and youthful bust.

Women who get breast enhancements often report a boost to their self-confidence and body image. This is extremely helpful for people who are suffering from self-esteem issues due to their body shape. Breast enhancements are a great way to bring back your youthful vibrancy.

Stylish Clothing Options

When you get breast enhancements, you open yourself up to a world of stylish clothing that fits and looks better. When you have a full bust, clothes tends to compliment your curves instead of making you look frumpy. A great bust line means that clothes will look more striking and expressive on your frame.

Dresses, swimsuits and even plain shirts look great on a woman with a defined bust. It is not uncommon for women to bring clothes to their doctor's office to help them figure out what they will look good in. Your doctor will appreciate this; it helps guide them towards the right shape and size for your bust.

The best way to go about getting breast enhancements is to consult with a reputable doctor. A good doctor can help guide you through the procedure. They make sure that all their patients are knowledgeable about all of their options. There are different procedures; what works for you is highly dependent on your body type and the results you are looking for.

When you choose breast enhancements, you physically and mentally improve yourself. Patients who are happy with their appearance tend to be happier with their lives. Find a qualified surgeon and they will help you select the perfect procedure to meet your needs.

Breast Enhancement - Common Fears Regarding Breast Enhancement

Breast enhancements are among the most popular cosmetic surgery and anti aging procedures. Each year the number of these operations increases, with girls as young as 16 years old having their breasts enlarged. Since the breasts are a primary signifier of womanhood, it is easy to see why making them bigger would make women feel better about themselves. The surgery makes them feel like they have gotten closer to looking the way they think women are supposed to look.

Medical and technological advances have made breast augmentations more attainable than they ever were before. New kinds of silicone look indistinguishable from real breast tissue. Women who opt for saline implants can forgo scars entirely. The empty bags are rolled up, inserted through an incision inside the belly button and snaked up through the torso. Once the bags are in place, they are unfolded and filled with saline.
An unfortunate consequence of the relative ease of performing breast augmentations is the increase in unqualified and unlicensed surgeons who are operating on women. A doctor does not have to have been certified by any governing or medical organization to call himself a plastic surgeon. To avoid this, a woman who is considering surgery should inquire as to whether the aesthetic clinic is board certified. She should avoid doctors who do not carry this credential.

Today's celebrity-oriented culture has contributed to a growing awareness of plastic surgery. It has become very easy to tell when someone has had a bad breast augmentation. The implants may have been lazily placed on top of the chest muscles instead of underneath them. Thin women whose implants are too big for their frames have obvious spherical outlines over their rib cages. A woman can avoid looking like this by preparing a list of questions and concerns for her surgeon. If possible, she should find pictures of women whose chests look the way she wants hers to look. Sometimes it is easier to show by example than to describe body parts in words. She should also ask to see before and after pictures of the surgeon's past patients.

There are some common red flags that women should know about before committing to a surgeon. A doctor whose prices seem too good to be true should not be trusted; good breast enhancements are worth their high price tags. Women should also avoid surgeons who push to enhance breasts by more than two-cup sizes.
